For as long as I can think of, I have liked creating things with my own hands. The dream of learning weave started, when I read a book about a woman, who worked through her history by weaving pictures (unfortunately I can‘t remember the title). Well, sometimes life makes its own U-turns, and so I had to wait till 2005 to attend my first weaving course. I was really excited and wanted to learn all about weaving. So from 2006 to 2009 I took weaving classes at Kukate and in 2010 I finished the apprenticeship as a handweaver. The loom I am working on is in the workshop of the Damasthandweberei Wiechmann. Sylvia Wiechmann, the master weaver, and I are working together. She is weaving at the Jacquard- and the draw loom, and I am weaving at the counter march loom.
